IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANTHOINE

Since my very first post you could understand that this is not a serious blog, it has an humoristic vein, I usually write comments to practices, qualifications and races in a funny way, I use hilarious words and I give pictoresque nicknames to the drivers. Well, this weekend I'm not able to do it. I can't do it, I don't feel like doing it.
This afternoon, while the Feature Race was underway, or I'd better say should have been underway, I was walking in Domaso with my parents. My dear friend Valeria, who I know from Instagram, wrote me a message saying that during the 2nd lap an horrible crash happened, involving Marino Sato, Juan Manuel Correa and Anthoine Hubert. Firstly I got scared about Marino Sato, who walked away from his car without injuries. The Hispano-American and the Frenchman had reported massive injuries, and the whole motorsport fandom was worried about them.
After a few hours, while I was in a restaurant having dinner, I saw a tweet with the news no one would have wanted to read. Anthoin Hubert passed away due to his injuries.
Motorsport is dangerous, I know it, I learned it as a child when I fell in love with this sport, beautiful and terrible at the same time, but when a driver or rider passes away, I always feel heartbroken, breathless and with no words.
My deepest condoleances go to Anthoine's family and friends, as well as to the other FIA F2 drivers and team managers.

ROUND #9, BELGIUM, QUALIFICATIONS: RED FLAG, RED PASSION

As precise as a Swiss watch, like the ones Louis' uncles sell in their jewelery, here I am to tell you what happened in qualifications.
Call(Me Maybe)um Ilott and Gelée crashed and caused two red flags… the pole goes to Quick Nyck! LouLou is 5th with a time of 1:58.910 and Samurai Nobu is just in front of him.
Tomorrow I will post the article about the Feature Race later in the evening, as I'll be out all the day.

ROUND #9, BELGIUM, FREE PRACTICE: IRASSHIMASE, MARINO-KUN!

Bonne journée! Did you enjoy your summer break?
This weekend we are visiting Belgium, famous for fries and chocolate, two of my favourite foods ever! But we are not here for culinary tourism, we are here to follow the FIA F2 races on the legendary Spa circuit!
There's a new handsome samurai on the track: Marino Sato, born in 1999 in Yokohama, a driver I met in Monza two years ago! This season he's leading EuroFormulaOpen, but now he had the fantastic opportunity to race in F2 with Campos! I hope to meet him in Monza on October 13th…
The fastest lap in the free practice session is up to Quick Nyck, and our kitten LouLou is 3rd, with a time of 2:00.008. Nobu had a good start but unluckily fell to 10th position. Marino Sato struggled, as he ended 19th, but it was prevedible, as an absolut F2 novice.
See you in a few hours for qualifications!

ROUND #8, HUNGARY: WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE WEBMISTRESS' ABSENCE?

Good morning folks!
Yesterday I came back from my summer trip to Germany. It was fantastic, I visited Erfurt, Berlin and some Bavarian villages… however, now the trip is done and dusted, and it's time for me to come back to my blogger duties.
Where were we? Oh yeah, we were in Budapest, were the 8th round of the championship was held.
In the Feature Race, we saw the win of Mr. Contact Lenses, who literally dominated the race. Lou had a slow start and fell to the 8th position, before his engine blew up.
Talking about the Sprint Race, we saw the win of the Klein Kaiser, his first one in FIA F2.
See you in 17 days for the Belgian round! Have a great day!
